Summer's Last Hurrah

We spent last week in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. It was a grand time!
We saw some beautiful scenery:
We saw some of these: and some of these:
lots of these:
3 of these:

(that's a grizzly bear)

We got to enjoy spending time with Nathan and his family--just wish you guys could have stayed longer!

Dave and the kids found a great fishing stream (never mind that it was a 4 mile hike down this canyon)
But the looks on their faces when they caught fish was priceless...
What a wonderful way to send off summer!

Some of the links to the pictures didn't work. I'm not sure if that was just on our computer, but I just couldn't make some of them larger.
Could Carson have looked any less happy in that first picture?
It looks like you guys had quite a fun time. While you were enjoying the last week of summer I was learning about brain motor functions already. Some day we'll make it back out west and be able to go on trips with everyone. I'm hoping that day will be about three years from now, but we'll have to see. In the mean time we'll have to settle for whenever Mom and Dad will fly us back to Spokane.
We love you guys and would welcome any visitors to our new home.

Wow- Dan must have been saving up words for a week! Maddy sure looks like a big girl in that picture of the kids.

Dan-I never realized that you could click on a picture and make it bigger. After I figured that out, I went back and clicked on the first picture and realized that Carson did indeed have on the "I'm so bored of pictures" look--sometimes he is way more a teenager than his sister!

Hope mom and dad fly you guys home soon cuz we miss you terribly. Tell Maggie that I'll keep my eye on Craigslist up here for her specified baby jogger.

I'm so jealous! That looks like such a fun trip! I agree that Carson doesn't look too happy in some of those. When does school start again?

My mom and dad are flying Charlotte and me out to Spokane for the week before Dan's finals this term. I believe that's the last week of September. I'll let you know about dates as soon as I know them. I'm super excited to go home and see everyone. (Probably this could have been sent in email form, but I figured since it was brought up I'd reply).

We had so much fun with you! I wish we could've stayed the whole time. Sometimes being grown-ups, going to work, etc. just isn't that great. Thanks for having us. We love you all and can't wait til we see you again! Jenny
